Deputy Director
Mohamed Ismail is a deputy director of CUTNAT (Center for Documentation of Cultural and Natural Heritage), a Ph.D. candidate at Helwan university in the program 'Heritage and Museum Studies'. He received the B.Sc. in 1998, then diploma of computer science from Arab Academy for Science Technology & Maritime in 2007, then diploma of cultural heritage management from Université Française d'Égypte, and Master degree in Cultural Heritage Management Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne in 2015, the thesis title "The Use of Augmented Reality in Egyptian Museums). He has 19 years of experience working in the field of visualization technologies in cultural heritage. He started working as a multimedia developer and instructor, in 2002 Mohamed joined the Department of Multimedia at CULTNAT as a multimedia developer, participated in making a multiple screens display system that developed gradually into forming the CULTNAT. Moreover, He was a key member in the development of many multimedia applications published by the center; in addition to supervising the development team, since 2010 he became a Head of Software Development Section. Currently, he is a board member of the Egyptian National Committee of the International Council of Museums (ICOM).
