Building on over 20 years of teaching and research at the Rochester Institute of Technology, Michael Riordan founded Independent Good to make a large-scale positive community impact by providing services and products that help create aligned action within individuals, groups, organizations, and businesses. The most recent initiatives at Independent Good are focused on expanding open learning and making art and cultural works more accessible.

Beyond his work with start-ups and established organizations in the manufacturing, art, design, education, non-profit, and wellness sectors, Michael provides pro bono support for community projects related to social good and the arts.
