Hi! I'm a museum worker who, along with my co-workers, unionized our workplace in fall 2019: https://ncmunion.org .
We unionized because we love our work and what our institution stands for, but we knew the low wages, lack of transparency, and high turnover (that exists in many! nonprofits and museums) was unsustainable, and we knew a better institution for everyone was possible.
