Alana Quinn is the Senior Program Associate, Cultural Programs, National Academy of Sciences, Washington, D.C. In her role at the NAS, she organizes exhibitions and public programs exploring intersections of art, science, and culture. She has co-organized the popular monthly D.C. Art Science Evening Rendezvous salon since its inception in 2011. She serves as the assistant art advisor on the science policy journal Issues in Science and Technology. Alana is also the guest curator for Tilt West Journal, Volume 4 which will focus on art and science and is expected to be published in October 2022. Ask her about the MCN Mentorship program! She's currently working with curators in Southern California who are involved with the Getty Foundation's Pacific Standard Time 2024 Art and Science initiative. Alana holds a BFA in photography and media arts from Alfred University, Alfred, NY and an MA in museum studies from Johns Hopkins University, Washington, D.C.
