Alli Hartley-Kong has worked in museums for the past seven years, but has been involved in theatre since she was five years old when she was dragged onstage for the first time as part of a community theatre production her family was involved in. Today, she is a playwright whose work has been produced in the USA at professional regional theatres such as Fusion and Carlow Little Theatre in Ireland. In her museum life, she has incorporated theatrical elements into her interpretation when she served as the head of the education department at Fosterfields Living Historical Site, and as a digital strategist now for 1909 Digital, she thinks a lot about the similarities between museums and theatres, particularly in the digital world. She's interested in ways to create compelling, engaging, artistic digital experiences that connect people with history--whether that is in history, or museums.
